The National Day of Prayer was established in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Its observance is founded on the constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion and can be celebrated by all Americans.
Locally, the Walworth County Prayer Breakfast seeks to communicate the need for personal repentance, and to mobilize personal and corporate prayer, particularly for the nation and those in leadership on all levels.
This year’s prayer breakfast will be held on the morning of May 1 in the Grand Ballroom at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI. The focus of the event will be prayer for families.
The program begins with breakfast at 6:45 a.m. and concludes at 8:30 a.m. The program will include music, prayer, scripture reading and special speaker, Julaine Appling. Julaine is the Executive Director for the Wisconsin Family Council located in Madison, WI.
If your company or church would like to underwrite one or more tables for 10 people and be one of the 70 table hosts for this seventh county-wide prayer breakfast, please print the reservation card and send your check to:
